Middridge Parish Clerk Vacancy
Middridge Parish Council are looking for a replacement part-time (5 hours per week)
Parish Clerk. The job involves the normal duties associated with a small Parish Council (5
Councillors, 751 Electors), namely: -
(a) Organising and attending 6 bi-monthly Parish Council Meetings (on a Monday
evening), and the Annual Parish Meeting, and producing the Agenda and
Minutes.
(b) Dealing with correspondence (normally by email).
(c) Acting as the Responsible Financial Officer by managing the Parish Council’s
Accounts (mostly by Internet Banking), and dealing with the Parish Council’s
Internal Auditor to produce the Annual Governance and Accountability Return
(AGAR).
(d) Maintaining an up-to-date Electoral Register.
(e) Organising the annual Remembrance Sunday Parade, and the supply of a
Christmas Tree.
(f) Any other reasonable duties that may be required.
Starting Salary would be commensurate with the current NJC SCP 7 – 10 pay scales
subject to experience, and negotiable (within reason). The Salary is reviewed
annually, and good performance will be rewarded. Where appropriate Mileage will be
paid at the recommended national rate.
